"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yes - you can trunk the ASA and have vlan support - however you will need a security plus license on your 5505 in order to do this.  You can't do any trunking with the base license and it only supports 3 vlans with limited support on the 3rd vlan.  If you have a security plus license you won't have a problem.
