Our school has a Davis VantagePro 2 weather station and we want to display the VGA video on two 28" displays. One display will be 20 feet from the source PC and the other something less than 300 feet from the same PC source. Looking for the least expensive solution.
If it's a newer pc you can run HDMI over ethernet because it supports 720P/1080P. Use an HDMI splitter from the computer then distribute to the two TVs. Just make sure the ethernet line is away from power source/neon lights (interference) and it will be fine.
I have used the HDMI Over Cat5/Cat6 Extender Wall Plate at a client site to provide company's video to the lobby. Not the same exact model because the one I bought was more expensive and amplified. You can have all that implemented for less than $150.
