delegate rights?

i received this from a secretary about her boss scott.

Good afternoon,

Is there any way to ensure that Scott no longer receives these notifications when I add something on his calendar and include myself as an invitee?  This is something that we do on a daily basis and the additional e-mails that Scott is receiving are clogging up his inbox.  Please let me know if there is anything I need to do on my end.

Thanks for your help,

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Run this in the Exchange shell:

add-mailboxpermission -identity\calendar -user <secretary's email> -accessrights fullaccess

That will change her from a delegate to an administrator over the calendar, so she can add appointments directly without notification.

Rather you should just change the permissions on the users Calendar and not on the entire mailbox.
Set-MailboxFolderPermission -identity\calendar -User -AccessRights Owner
