windows server 2012

Hello,

I have already RDP setup on windows server 2012.
Need login at the same time 4 users and fire up 4 different applications, one for each user.
How can I setup this ?
Is any way in GPO say fire up specific app depends which user login in  ?

thanks

You can put the program shortcut in each user's start menu or deploy them via GPO.  If using GPO then you will need 4 separate policies so that each one can fire up different applications.  If not too many users it's easier to just drop it in the startup folder.

Here is more info on how to Specify a Program to Start Automatically When a User Logs On

Hi Henry,

How many users?  If just 4 then I would just drop the application icon in the startup folder for each user's profile so that when each user login it will start automatically.  For example, if you want Outlook to start automatically then just drop the Outlook icon in the user's start up folder.

Please note that there is a common startup folder as well as there is user specific startup folder.  The common one will apply to all users where the user startup is specific to that user.

If more users and you're anticipating that there will be 4 group type of users requiring this in the future then Group Policy is the way to go.
