I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yes you can ...
Free software is available for this or if you want paid software then google " Video Watermark Software"

Windows Live Maker
Format Factory
InVideo Programming (YouTube)

Yes you can do this with most video software - you create the graphic for the logo/watermark and then create an additional layer above your video.  The software then merges the layers into a final watermarked version.

If you are streaming - you could add the layer directly over the stream which has the advantage of allowing you to add a link to the overlay and alter the logo at any time but this means that the unwatermarked media could potentially be leeched if it's possible to identify it's location on your server.

If you are intending to have your media added to streaming sites like YouTube etc make sure your logo is positioned away from the bottom 5th of the window as the hosting site will probably want to add its own advertising overlay.

I'm guessing iMovie would be the simplest provided your movies files are already in a format that's supported.  I'm PC based so short of some random Googleing can't give you advice from experience.  I use Adobe products for this kind of thing on a PC and they have an equivalent package for MacOS (Look for Premier/After Effects) but these aren't cheap for a one-off job.
