Re: permanent Windows Server 2012 R2 Hyper-V USB Redirection Solution?

Hello, aside from the Enhanced Session that Windows  Server 2012 R2's Hyper-V offers which appears to be a temporary connection (only when connecting to the VM via "connect" from the Hyper-V host), is there a more permanent solution to being able to connect a USB thumbdrive and keep it connected permanently to a virtual machine within a Server 2012 R2 Hyper-V host?  The virtual machine in reference is also a Windows 2012 R2 server within the Windows 2012 R2 host.
The issue we're encountering is a client MUST have a portable USB disk containing a key for credit card PCI compliance and therefore, the key which is on the USB drive must remain on a USB drive.  ...Open to suggestive solutions.

I was afraid someone might say that but was hoping that someone knew of a great workaround that I was unaware of other than software such as the one you mentioned.  There are others that are RDP related that presumably maintain a connection which I will experiment with in a test environment.
