Failover ASA's

I have 2 ASA configured exactly the same.  I need to change the ISP on them however, I can't do this live.  These are set to fail over and I was wondering if there's a way for me to work on the 2nd - (NOT LIVE) ASA without interrupting the 1st?  Can this be done?  I

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You should be able to ssh to the second ASA and stop the failover.

Create a second static default route to your new provider with a weight of 225 before re-IPing the interface.

How do you plan on bringing the primary on-line without wiping out the secondary new IP structure?

good question.  I think what I'm going to have to do is to configure the secondary with the new ISP info, test it and copy the config once I know it's work or I can simply just change the 3 addresses I need to on the ASA.  I"m still a "baby" when it comes to Cisco and routing.  I understand the concepts but I'm not one to test live!

Your best bet would be to have someone on-site, with an independent internet connection, TeamViewer running, a console cable to the ASA(s), and you remote in and change the configuration.
