VMware DRS

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone please clarify my train of thought :

1. In a VM Cluster Host environemnt, does DRS move the virtual server to different datastores ?

OR

2. Does DRS only move the virtual server to another host leaving the VM on the same datastore ?

if you have a data store cluster, it can move it to a different data store (that is accessible to other hosts) if the used % threshold is exceeded

it could.  if the host is excessively high on memory usage and guests need to go elsewhere, it will simply migrate the running guest to a different host as long as the data store is accessible by the other host

the feature is called Storage DRS, or SDRS, and DRS.

DRS is not a load balancer!
