Can Exchange 2013 keep a copy of messages sent to mailboxes that are temporarily down?

Yesterday we had a user's mailbox go into quarantine and they couldn't receive email, some of which were important.  Is that email found somewhere else on the server?  If not, is there a way to do this for the future?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The mails will back up.

Here is an excellent blog on Quarantined mailboxes.

The mails will back up... Could you elaborate?  When?  Where to?  How to find them?  How to forward them to the user?  How to check for their existence?

The will backup in the queue.  They will start backing up as soon as the mailbox goes into quarantine and cannot be delivered.

You might be able to see them using the Queue Viewer in the Exchange console.

They should get delivered automatically when the quarantine issue has been resolved.
