Filemaker webdirect on Android - Signature Capture

Hi there,

Is it possible to make a java script (or any other language) in a Filemaker Webdirect application so I can capture signatures in a container field?

If yes, can you please provide me a resource link?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Try this.

FMEasySignature is an open source solution for capturing signatures in FileMaker databases. It is a technique for capturing signatures and optionally storing them in FileMaker databases. It is ideal for solutions that require signature capture, such as delivery receipts, contracts and agreements, etc.

Hi Rene, could you make that FMEasySignature plugin work for webdirect apps too?

Thanks Gergely,

Would it work on FM server as well?

Gergeéy GubacsiCommented:
Hi Rene,

Yes, the setup I want to achieve is an Android tablet, connected to an FMserver via webdirect.  The tablet should be able to capture signatures via webdirect (with the help of  FMEasySignature, but without any native FIlemaker GO app - as it does not exist on Android)

So in your experience, would this work?

Thx, all the best

Oh!  I just realized.  You were asking me a question!
Sorry, I did not time to go further on this so I cannot help right now.
What if you create a new question and let me know.  I would greatly appreciate that.
Cheers mate :)

Hi Rene,

No worries, fast reading sometimes tricks me too.  ("I took a fast reading course. I read War and Peace in two hours. It's about Russia." / Woody Allen)

Anyways, it wouldn't make too much sense to post a new question on the topic, because my post's title would be identical to that of your existing post's: " Filemaker webdirect on Android - Signature Capture"

So hoping for the best that someone just drops in and opens up our eyes :)

Have a great day

When you have any findings, please share!

Cheers mate :)

@ Gergő,

How did you fast reading course work for you?

Do you feel that when you fast read, you easily get out of context o lot of you are right on topic?

Gergeéy GubacsiCommented:
:-D you either missed the point (that being a funny quote only from Woody Allen) or it's a double twist and I should speed up!
either way I'm going to bed now, any new info I have on this sure I'll share  :)
