Sharing Folders in Windows Server 2012

Dear Experts,

I want to create some folders in the file server . All the main folders will be having sub folders . I want to give permission to everyone for the main folder .  But for the sub folders i will give full permission to some users only. But at the same time i want all the users to view the main folder & the sub folder.but when they try to open the sub folder  it should give access denied.

How can i do it.

1. Give Read access to the parent folder.
2. Give Read access to everyone and Full control to specific users on the required subfolders.

So as per your advice I need to give the read access to everyone for  the main folder & also the read access to everyone for the sub folders & the full permission to the users for accessing the sub folders. So by doing this the sub folders will be visible for all the users & when they try to open it will show access denied. Just to confirm by doing like this it will work.

Yes in that way all can view the folders which you were looking for and full access to those few will give those few users write\ read etc. Ensure you test this after giving those access just to be sure!
