printing problem when printing from windows live mail

Whenever I try to print an email 9 (not an attachment)...just a regular email when using windows live mail I am prompted to save the message to a PDF file  and then I have to go to documents to locate the saved file and print it from there.  This is tedious and should be unnecessary.  How might I best fix this problem?

do you have a pdf printer set as default printer under "devices and printers" ?
what happens when you print from word/excel etc.. ?

A pdf printer is set as the default printer under devices and printers.
