cant map to one server but ok with others

Hi, just recently one of the pcs in the office cant map to the sql server.  Im able to map to all the other servers no problem but this particular sql server wont allow for the mapping but in certain instances the mapping works so its not consistent.  When i map using browse withing domain the + sign is not available next to the sql server so something is off with the trust relationship i believe however i did successfuly remove it and rejoin it to the domain without any errors and can manage the pc within active director users and computers.  Any ideas?

This might be that the PC has offline files and folders turned on, and if its every had any files set as offline it might be detecting the server incorrectly as offline.

A quick fix if you don't use offline files and folders is to search for "Sync Center" in windows, then within there select "Manage Offline Files" and then  "Disable Offline Files"

Hi

So you are trying to map to one of the drives/shares on the SQL Server? And all other Mapped Drivers are working?

One thing to try is to run the following from a command prompt:
net use /d *
and select Yes

This will remove all mapped drives and then reboot the PC. All Mapped Drives that come from GPO should be there - try to access the SQL server from the client PC again.

Thanks
Mark
