Move AWS Server to on Prem Hyper-V

Hello,
I need to move an AWS server back into an On-Prem Hyper-V Environment.  I know that I cannot export the AMI as it was created in AWS and was not originally imported into AWS.  I am looking at other methods that may work.  I was wondering if I ran the  Microsoft Virtual Machine Converter that PtoVs servers if that would work?  Does anyone have any experience with doing this type of move in the past?

Thanks.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Is there any downtime needed when creating the PtoV?  The server we are doing this on in AWS is a production server.

P2V can be done in real time, but if transactions are changing, you will need to stop all the services, because otherwise, your P2Ved server, will be out of date.

So I would recommend, turning off the application/service, and completing out of hours.

Of you will need to use a different product.

We use the following to do many our our migrations now, which can perform almost zero downtime.

I wrote an article here, I know not specific to AWS to Hyper-V, but it shows the tech working...
