I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can do this with a running total.

When you create the running total set the EXECUTE WHEN to use a formula
    tonumber({OrderDtl.OpenLine}) = {OrderDtl.KitParentLine}

You could also create a formula
 if (tonumber({OrderDtl.OpenLine}) = {OrderDtl.KitParentLine}) then

Open in new window

Drop the formula in the detail section of the report
Right click it
Set the summary type to SUM
Set to put it in the report footer or group footers as appropriate
Click OK
