I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Why don't you want to use zip?
Why do you want to build a wooded bicycle when you can get a sports car for free?
Your client may be a pig,but anything you build with VB will be a snail.

Buy a bigger hard disk.  (If you reduce the size of the files do that mean you want to resize the image to a smaller size or convert colour to black and white?)

reduce the size of pdf file and imagesPDF not possible. Images will lose detail as most use lossy compression.

Loss of data doesn't seem to be a restriction - the asker has already said in response to my query the image size is to be reduced (with the loss of data that implies).
