cannot email account when deleted from exchange server

we have 2 different exchange servers in our datacenter. both exchange servers are running alone.

on exchange server 1 my account is running and the account of a client of me.

now we had to move the account for that client to exhange server 2. this has been done and give no problems.

but when know i want to send an email to the customer my outlook gives me the message that this account does not exists anymore on the server and i cannot email to this address.

how can i do exchange serve 1 forget this account so that he sends this email outside?

I think you have cached address on Outlook:
If this not resolve your problem, you can try updating OAB and update on your Outlook client.

Easiest test would be to select the user from the Global Address List when looking in Outlook Address Book as this will not use the cache.

Because you said that you moved the mailbox it is probably still in a soft delete state on the original server.

Use the following command...
remove-storemailbox -database exchdb1 -identity user1 -mailboxstate softdelete

This happens sometimes when you move a mailbox from one database to another. The move process does not actually MOVE the database. It is actually a copy. When the copy has completed to the destination server it will delete the original mailbox from the source.

Sometimes the delete will not purge automatically and it will leave it in a softdelete state. At this point, you can use the command above. Then try again.

You can also try
clean-mailboxdatabase -database exchdb1
