"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Also look at the Rules you have implemented. Rules can move email out of the inbox into folders which may be why you think mail is disappearing.

Close Outlook, back up the email file, go to Control Panel, Mail and delete the mail profile (outlook). Make sure you can remake the email account.

Restart the computer and then go back to Control Panel, Mail and set up a new profile. Link it to the existing mail file and set up the account.

Try the new profile and see if that works.

If not, set up a new, test Windows User Profile (Account), log into the new Account and test Outlook in the new Windows Account.
