There's a public SharePoint 2013 blog I'm helping with and when an anonymous user enters a comment, the following error shows,

TypeError: Cannot read property 'trim' of null

You can test for yourself.  Click on any of the topics, enter a comment and post.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I was able to get it to work.  This seems to be a common problem with SharePoint 2013.  I found this site that talks about integrating DISQUS with SharePoint.  i will give that a try until Microsoft comes up with  solution.
