SPAM Filter config for Office 365 on Exchange Admin Center

Does anyone know if there is a reasonable hope of configuring the SPAM filter in the Exchange Admin Center to catch most SPAM - Google Apps and Gmail seem to be able to do it without configuration, why can't Microsoft?

MS is not enough matured yet but they are filtering mails on the basis of Transport rules and other filters. Those needs to be configured.

Thanks, Amit. I should have been clearer - I need to know HOW to configure the SPAM filter in Exchange Admin Center to (if possible) match the effectiveness of Google.

Thanks, Amit. I had seen these articles but they seem to involve a lot of research, but apparently, they are the only way. I would have thought someone would have come up with some generic rules that block most SPAM so we would not all have to re-invent the wheel each time, but apparently not.
