exchange 2010 mailbox quota

We Exchange 2010
We have to remove mailbox quota on a couple of Databases.  If I remove the storage limits from the DB's from the ORG level, how long will this update apply to the user's mailbox.  The users mailbox settings have Storage Quotas to use the mailbox database defaults.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I think dismounting and re-mounting database will take immediate effect but keeping them only can take much time. May be 2 hours

default time is 2 hours, you can force with Information store restart or you can amend the cache times via the registry and then it will update quicker
