Pass OpenArgs value to combobox on Subform

When my database opens I have a user login form that passes the user name to the MainMenu form. That part is working fine. There is a fsubSales subform on the MainMenu form that uses combo boxes to filter the sales to that associate. I am wanting to pass the openargs value to the subform so that report filters only to that sales person. I am able to get the value to the combo box but it does not update the data until I select that person's name from the dropdown again.

I hope that made sense. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks for the response Rey. As I figured it was just something simple I was missing. I was passing the value to the subform but forgot to do the docmd.setfilter in the subforms  On Load settings. It is all working now.
