Coldfusion HTTPS

For a client using Coldfusion as application server, I need to enable https.

Currently all programs are evoked using http://www.domain/path1/coldFusionProgram.cfm

The client has a requirement now from the supervising entity that programs must be called using https://www.domain/path1/coldFusionProgram.cfm.

I have never worked with https before and frankly do not even now where to start.

As time is of essence, I would appreciate any suggestion you may have.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This is mostly a web service thing.   You to purchase a digital certificate for your website and install it on your web server.   Try digicert.cfom as one option.

When using https instead of http you may notice that you do not have a lock appearing, that means you have to make sure that all your images are all relatively referenced   <img src="/images/xx.gif">   If you used scr=""> then you have to change them because they are not being delivered through the secure website.
