Delete Apple ID credentials & form from inherited laptop

Recently inherited MacBook Pro (circa 2012)  from former employee. How do I delete Apple ID dialog from this user. When I try to update OS X to 10.10.5, Apple ID dialog box has former employee name and name cannot be deleted. Employee not available.

Note that the former employee dialog box appears only (so far) when updating OS X.

Go to Apple > Menu > System Preferences > Users and Groups.

Create a new user and give the new user admin privileges.

Then log out of the current user and log in as the new user. See if that fixes the problem.

If it does, go back into Users and Groups and delete the old user and its files.

>> Actually, on second thought, I don't think that will work.

You are correct, it does not. I will go with the 'Changing ownership...'
