Toshiba Hardware network issue
On a Toshiba C855-S5206 running Windows 7 Home cannot find or load wireless or lan adapters.
I see the adapters listed on Device Manager, under network adapters both are marked with a yellow triangle. I have downloaded and installed drivers and new chip set drivers from Toshiba. It does not make a difference.
When I follow the wizards to check / update drivers it says the best drivers are already installed.
From a rescue disk I can run mini xp and connect to the internet and load any web page.
The only web connection I can get to work is through the rescue disk.
What am I doing wrong?

have your driver media handly. in device manager right click and remove the driver and select delete do this for all network adapters. reboot the machine and install the new drivers

Thanks David. Have done that.... several times... rebooted and they would not reinstall.
Why would the network function with my rescue disk and not in the standard mode?

David,
Yes it has worked in the past. I'm stumped because when using a Hiram recovery tool I can set up the LAN connection and go on line and use a browser with no problem. I load mini xp into RAM and the network works.

David... I've tried several restore points back to mid-June and none work. Even though many restore points are listed, none that I've tried work. I don't think restore is working as well.
nobus...There are no error messages when drivers are installed. I've attached a list of the drivers I've downloaded and tried to install, including chipset drivers, as well as the device manager screen shot and a Belarc screen shot.
On the Control Panel page for Network Connections it shows no adapters at all. A blank page.
Thanks Dan

Here's another clue. Evidently the drivers are there, but the system cannot load them.
See attached.

I fixed it.
Found a web article with a step by step....Go the the section "On all Network Adapters", a simple registry tweak.
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/Cc725584(v=WS.10).aspx
What is great about this one is that the LAN had been out for over a year due to lightning. When the wireless went out this system was headed for the dump. The client had already bought a new laptop.
Your questions and the fact that it would work with my rescue disk kept me going on this.
Feel good about this one.
Thanks for your help.
