"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yes you can configure server as Data Collector\XML Broker and another on for backup.

The Citrix XML service is  used to provide users access to their applications and desktops via a web interface, For more info about xml broker https://apttech.wordpress.com/2012/02/08/understanding-citrix-xml-broker-and-troubleshooting-one-xml-broker-issue/

Data Collector stores all the dynamic information like session, load and published applications in the servers in their zones and communicates the zone information to the Data Collectors in other zones in the farm.
