Hi,

First make sure your web server is started.

Make sure your backup and  importbuddy.php is ok, not corrupted, you may need to redo the backup or re-download it again.

Thank you.  I was able to get importbuddy.php ok and passed through the authentication. When I upload the zip file, looks like the zip file is corrupted. I get an error 'DAT File Not found'.  I  will upload the new backup zip file and let you know if I face any issues.

Hi,
All error code
http://ithemes.com/codex/page/BackupBuddy:_Error_Codes

For example:
9004
Error! The unzip process reported success but the backup data file, backupbuddy_dat.php was not found in the extracted files. The unzip process either failed (most likely) or the zip file is not a proper BackupBuddy backup. (importbuddy.php)
Manually extract backup ZIP. This usually resolves this issue.
Force compatibility mode to see if it able to unzip to completion.
Contact the host to see if they can verify that the Linux command line ZIP is set up properly.

This is great. Thank you.  I was able to pass through the step from unzip and the process went fine through database restore.

At the end of the restore, with the title 'Verify Site & Finish',  I got the below message

Verify imported site functionality before proceeding to cleanup:

http://localhost/wordpress

When I click on the above link, I got page not found error.

There is a resolution that was shown at the top of the page to remove the line 'AddHandler application/x-httpd-php54 .php'

 When I go to .htaccess page, I did not see that line.

I have attached the page.  Please help me how to fix this.

You forgot to attach the page

The AddHandler application/x-httpd-php54 .php is to switch to PHP 5.4
we often see that on hosted company that offer several php version.
https://www.siteground.com/kb/how_to_have_different_php__mysql_versions/

Make sure you are using a PHP version that is compatible with your WP version.

To know your php info
create a file  phpinfo.php

paste this code
<?php

// Show all information, defaults to INFO_ALL
phpinfo();

?>

Open in new window

Then paste this page into the root of your webserver www or htdocs
then view the page with your browser
http://localhost/phpinfo.php

Also you may need to set your webserver to work with htaccess.

Thank you.  I removed the htaccess file and the website is up.  I am all set I guess.

Let me know if I need .htaccess file back with some changes so the webserver is up with .htaccess file.

Ye you will need to setup your webserver in order to use the htaccess file.
You will have to activate the rewrite_module
Wampserver : WAMP icon->Apache->Apache modules->chose rewrite_module
so there will be a check in front of the module name.
Restart the webserver

If you do it manually in Apache folder
Open httpd.conf file and search for rewrite then remove the # that is in front of it.
Restart the webserver

*Always restart the server after a change.

or let me know which webserver are you using? wamp xampp mamp or individual services and which OS.
