Increase space on San Volume
Hi All,
we have hp lefhandsan in our environment.
I need to increase a san volume attached to windows server. It requires 500mb increase.
When go into the HP CMC right click the volume and click edit its says 6.5 tb, how may terabytes is 500mb and then should i add to the 6.5?
is there anything else I need to do on the windows side after i finish editing.
Thank you in advance.

thank you, therefore to increase 6.5 tb by 500mb, the results would be 6.5004882812 tb, is the calculcation correct?
I'm afraid you took the value of 512 mb.
if you wish to increase the space specifically by 500 mb, then the correct value would be:
6.500476837158203125 tb.
if you waish to add 512 mb which is what usually done, then the value would be:
6.50048828125 tb.

By the same calculation,
500 Mega = 0.48828125 Giga = 0.000476837158203125 Tera.
That said, most of the times, when people speak about 500 Mega they mean 512 (as in half of one Giga) so if you actually adding 512 Mb, You need to add 0.00048828125 Tera.
Hope that helps amd that I understood the question correctly.
