We just migrated from a SBS2003, providing DHCP and DNS smong other services, to Windows 2008 R2. The migration went well except for the fact that our wireless workstations which get their IP address via DHCP from a CISCO E3000 router can no longer see the wired domain workstations on the LAN. There was no issue when the domain controller was the SBS2003.
Here's what is known. Wired domain workstations can be pinged via the IP address but not the hostname. The DC can be pinged via IP address and hostname but cannot be "Seen" as part of the network.
I've have applied a few patches as suggested from the web, but so far nothing has resolved this problem. I have a feeling it is a relatively easy fix; just do not know what it is.
