I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You need to be more specific.

I use the professional version of Malwarebytes as well as my Anti Virus.

Also, do NOT hover on links, click on unknown links or open email from unknown people. Delete such emails instantly.

If you are careful (that is, use your common sense), intruders will never get in.

Definitely use Malwarebytes and a solid antivirus, but also make sure that you are keeping your OS, browsers and other key software up to date. Many people overlook this and leave themselves vulnerable as a result.

Otherwise, like John said, use common sense when you are online, make sure if you are downloading an update for something like Flash or Java you confirm that you are downloading it from the legit webpage (adobe.com or java.com). Also be very careful when downloading free software, even reputable software, as it is very easy if you don't uncheck an option to wind up with garbage software on your machine that'll bog everything down.

I agree with the fact that Malware Bytes is the best solution out there. I use it for both personal as well as professional use and I haven't found an alternate solution to fix weird behavior on computers. Common sense is the key to avoid damaging your OS and be careful on what you click as well.
