How to backup Joomla

Hello experts

I created my website using Joomla. I'm concerned about the Joomla configuration being hacked into or lost.  Can someone please tell me how to back it up?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

All your Joomla Configuration is saved in the file 'configuration.php' which is in the root folder of your website. download & keep a backup copy of that file.

When you will check Akeeba Backlup, they have another good good Extension for protecting your website from hacking. Check out Admin Tools from Akeeba, they have a free version and a more advanced Pro version which is paid.
