Cannot connect xbox 360 to windows 7 Laptop.

I followed a tutorial about how to do this and every time I Go to control panel, Network and internet, network connections and right click 'wireless network connection' and click on 'properties' it says 'you do not have sufficient  privileges for configuring connection properties. I followed your steps about how to deal with this: http://www.experts-exchange.com/OS/Microsoft_Operating_Systems/Windows/XP/Q_23466093.html
but when I get to step 4 (click OK) it says 'Access is denied'.
when I type in GPEDIT.MSC, it says 'windows cannot find 'GPEDIT.MSC', Make sure you typed the name correctly and try again.
Thank you very much for your help.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Your error messages are saying you are not an administrator on the PC. Go to the Control Panel, switch it to large or small icons (upper right), then User Accounts and tell me if it says you are an administrator.  If it does, you got infected sometime in the past and this is residual damage in Windows.  If it says you are not, you need to login using and administrator account to change your user to one.
