We use Word Viewer and Excel Viewer for a majority of our users in environment since they only need read privileges to these files.
However, since upgrading our PCs to IE10 or IE11, Word Viewer and Excel Viewer do not open when a user is on our Sharepoint 2010 site. The program launches, but the file does not load. When loading files from the desktop or an external internet-based site, it loads fine.
There are a couple of technet articles out there regarding this issue but unfortunately there are no solutions.
Can anyone advise on how to get Word and Excel viewer to work properly on Sharepoint 2010?
