We use Word Viewer and Excel Viewer for a majority of our users in environment since they only need read privileges to these files.<br />

However, since upgrading our PCs to IE10 or IE11, Word Viewer and Excel Viewer do not open when a user is on our Sharepoint 2010 site. The program launches, but the file does not load. When loading files from the desktop or an external internet-based site, it loads fine.<br />

There are a couple of technet articles out there regarding this issue but unfortunately there are no solutions.<br />

Word Viewer with SharePoint 2010 and IE10 or IE11
