pdf file

My OS is win 7 prof 64 bit.  I want to email a pdf file, and I want to find out if there is any way I can secure this file, just in case it got into the wrong hands.  Can i password protect it, if Yes, what software do I use and how do I do it.  Thank u.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Good solutions for non sensitive data. I have mark the comment as a good one

I am not sure if you want to upload your sensitive PDF file to the web browser to PW protect it.  I know its an HTTPS site but that still concerns me.
