You have 2 scenario
1- install ricoh twain network scanner driver
You can find it by searching in Google by your ricoh model and then install it on the pc after that you can simply scan via photoshop or Adobe Acrobat to your pc.
2- from the ricoh machine without any software

From the Ricoh machine I have specified the path of the computer by \\ComputerName\C$\scanFolder. When scanning I get an error message.

Make sure that permissions on the folder are set to give Everyone read and write access.

If that does not help, what is the error message?
