Expected behavior of Dell PERC 6/i when swapping out disk sets

I'm about to do a disaster recovery exercise on a client's DELL SBS 2008 server. I'm running ShadowCraft ShadowProtect image backups from which I will restore the two existing disk partitions (OS & DATA)  to a fresh RAID volume created using three new drives in a RAID5 configuration. My plan is to remove the existing three drives and mark them as to which physical port/slot they are connected to. My fall back plan if the recovery is not successful is to put the original drives back where they came from and boot from them, thinking the machine will just run as it did before I removed the original drives. So, my question: Will the Dell PERC 6/i controller recognize the original RAID configuration just by putting the original disks back into position? Is there anything special I'll have to do from the RAID BIOS, or is all the RAID configuration simply read from the disks?
