how to run on microsoft access 2013 an action query that will affect a table data on a second database

hi

i use an accesss 2013 database, that it's called for this example "database2",  and this database has a table with the name "table1", and this table is a linked to another access database with the name "database1", is there an option to run a query that will update "table1" (that is located on "database1" but it's linked to "database2"), based on some data that are in "database1", and the result will be that the linked table1 will be updated ?

i hope that Does not sound too complicated.

thanks a lot

Yes, you can update a linked table just like you would a local table, and you can do so based on data in other tables. Whether you can do that in a query is unknown, since we don't know your table structure and such, but in general it's something that is easily doable.

...but you might want to tell us a bit more about this system.

It sounds a bit convoluted, ...so there might be a simple way to get the same result...

You can't link to a linked table in another database.
db1
tbl1 - linked to db2

db2
tbl1

db3
you cannot link to tbl1 in db1 but you can link to tbl1 in db2.
tbl1 - linked to db2

Curious why the B grade. You asked for no additional information, and in fact did even bother to respond at all - so why the B grade?

the reason why i don't added additional info because it's a bit complicated for me to describe exactly the problem, but you are totally right that is not your problem.

and thanks a lot your time and your desire to solve the problem, please not take it personal.
