Forefront Protection Exchange: Can I remove .eml files from Archive folder?

I am running MS Forefront version 10.1.0746.0 SP1 on Exchange 2007.  The log files have filled up my disk in the location... D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Forefront Security\Exchange Server\Data\Archive.  Is there a way to clear these out?  I don't have the diag options for FPE but can I simply delete these .eml files?

I suspect these would have been quarantined emails so I suspect its safe to delete them. They are there for admins to diagnose transport problems, turning off the feature will stop it from filling it up.

Thanks for the quick response. Do you think its worth backing up.. the only thing I am thinking if they are Quarantined msgs, do I want to be moving these files around the network and essentially backing them up?

I backed up the folder just in case and then deleted the .eml files. It saved around 30gb of space and am now not receiving alerts on the C:Drive any more. Fingers crossed it stays that way!
