Hi experts,

Please can you advise me on how I add printers and set a default printer, via login script in my Group Policy?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

What kind of login script do you currently employ?

If you search for my article (only one I ever posted) I outline how to use group policy preferences.

As yo_bee alluded, he does have an article on EE that outlines the process.  Here is the link to it:

I'm starting a brand new logon script .. So any suggestions for best practice are welcome.
@yo_bee, not a problem.  ;)

yo_beeDirector of Information TechnologyCommented:
Group policy Preferences takes a lot the scripting out and makes it much easier to manage for you and the rest of your team as well as future admins.

If you want to move forward with scripts that is alway an option, but why reinvent the wheel when you have the tools at your disposal in GPP.
