I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The only way I know to achieve this would be to open Firefox and then drag and drop the link from IE into the open firefox session. Firefox should then open this link

you have no control at the server end. the link will open in either the current browser or the default browser (current browser 99% of the time)

You can implement a simple check from the client side of the applications that your are running with Javascript, the following code will tell you about the browser version that the application is running
