Validate Failover Cluster Configuration Errors...

When troubleshooting some DAG issues, I was prompted to try the Validate Configuration via the Failover Cluster Manager; we are getting the following results on our DAG CLUSTER....

Server List:
EXCHANGE04.DOMAIN.LOCAL - Witness Server | Windows Server 2012 Standard | VMware machine
EXCHANGE05.DOMAIN.LOCAL - Exchange 2013 | Windows Server 2012 Standard | VMware machine
EXCHANGE06.DOMAIN.LOCAL - Exchange 2013 | Windows Server 2012 Standard | VMware machine
EXCHANGE07.DOMAIN.LOCAL - Exchange 2013 | Windows Server 2012 Standard | VMware machine
EXCHANGE08.DOMAIN.LOCAL - Exchange 2013 | Windows Server 2012 Standard | VMware machine
EXCHANGE09.DOMAIN.LOCAL - Exchange 2013 | Windows Server 2012 Standard | VMware machine

Validate Active Directory Configuration RESULTS:

The site name of node EXCHANGE05.DOMAIN.LOCAL could not be determined because of this error: Could not get domain controller name from machine EXCHANGE05.DOMAIN.LOCAL.

Connectivity to a writable domain controller from node EXCHANGE05.DOMAIN.LOCAL could not be determined because of this error: Could not get domain controller name from machine EXCHANGE05.

Node(s) EXCHANGE06.DOMAIN.LOCAL EXCHANGE07.DOMAIN.LOCAL EXCHANGE08.DOMAIN.LOCAL EXCHANGE09.DOMAIN.LOCAL can reach a writable domain controller.

Node(s) EXCHANGE05.DOMAIN.LOCAL cannot reach a writable domain controller. Please check connectivity of these nodes to the domain controllers.

I also notice that the one exchange server EXCHANGE05.DOMAIN.LOCAL is in the correct Organizational Unit, but it doesn't show as being in any Site Name, where as the other servers show up in the correct Site Name. All servers are in the same site physically and in the same IP subnet (10.68.100.0).

Anyone got any pointers for me to fix these issues?

Thanks in advance.

ASKER

Ive tried to ping the EXCHANGE05 server from the other nodes in that cluster, successfully, Ive also tried to ping the other EXCHANGE servers from the EXCHANGE05 node, successfully...

I have also tried the same, to and from the domain controllers... pings successfully.

Whats the recommended Firewall setting on the servers? Just have it turned off?
