We have just installed a Toshiba VOIP telephone system. &nbsp;The Unified Messaging app in the system will send a wav file of the voice message to a user's e-mail account. &nbsp;Some of our users are unable to play the file without first downloading it. &nbsp;None of the Google Play apps seem to be able to play the file. &nbsp;If I download the file I can then play it with Windows Media Player and other apps.<br />

Multimedia applications are those programs that integrate more than one media at a time; browsers are the most obvious. However, the term has come to include the use of programs that enable the use of any component that isn’t simple text and static graphics, such as audio, video, animation, virtual reality, conferencing and monitoring.

MultiMedia Applications

Web Components are a set of standards currently being produced by Google engineers as a W3C specification that allow for the creation of reusable widgets or components in web documents and web applications. The intention behind them is to bring component-based software engineering to the World Wide Web. The components model allows for encapsulation and interoperability of individual HTML elements. Support for Web Components is present in Chrome and Opera and is in Firefox (with a manual configuration change). Microsoft's Internet Explorer has not implemented any Web Components specifications yet. Web Components consist of 4 main elements: Custom Elements, Shadow DOM, HTML Imports and HTML Templates.
