Check what network setting you have in the guest machine. Both Bridged and NAT should give you Internet access. Make sure the firewall allows the NAT subnet. Test with Bridged Networking as that is simple and sure to work for a properly operating guest machine.

I am asking you to test the connections. You can always change back.

What network type are you using.?

We cannot help if you do not test.

Set the VM's network to "NAT". That will isolate it from your physical LAN, but allow internet connections. Bridging would put it on the same LAN as the normal network you are using, while host only mode is probably what you are currently using and doesn't allow you to connect to the internet.

Go to the Network Editor (Part of Workstation), run it as Administrator and click on Restore Defaults. This should fix NAT. I have done this before.
