Access - Percentages instead of Values in Crosstab Query

I have created a cross tab query, but instead of entering values - I would like to change these to percentages.

I currently choose - Count - Values, but have not been able to see a Percentage option.

Thank you

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I don't know that you can do a calculation in the Values portion of a crosstab. You could create a query that shows those values, and then create a Crosstab based on that query, of course - but that may not give you what you're after.

If you could give more details, along with sample data, we might be able to help further.

Hmmm - I appreciate you r time and efforts - but at this point - I want to retreat and try more on my own so I can offer educated responses and not take up more of your time.

For now, I will attempt the query of the cross tab itself.

Thank you.

The answer is "Yes", you can do computations in the column that is selected for the Value of your crosstab query, and you can use the properties dialog to set the format of the value to percentage.  If you'd care to provide some sample data, I'd be glad to help.

Can you please guide me to the Properties dialogue? I can try this on my own first. I can right click and get to the Properties Sheet.

Am I in the correct place?

Dale FyeOwner, Developing Solutions LLCCommented:
Well, the real issue is performing the calculation in the values column.  This will depend on whether you have have a subquery that is already doing your aggregations, in which case, you can simply use:

ComputedField: [SomeField]/[SomeOtherField]
Table:  yourqueryName
Total:  Expression
Crosstab: Value

Then right click the column header in the query grid and select properties.  In the Format row, type "Percent".  If the values are numeric, you might see a "Decimal Places" option below the Format property, but you might not.
