watchguard subscriptions for an XTM25 - which ones and are their trial periods?

I have a watchguard xtm25. we got hit with cryptowall and people were saying we should have subscriptions on our watchguard xtm25.

anyone out there can recommend which subscriptions we should get?
Are there services that will hold my hand to install / configure it?  I can likely muddle through installing it, but then figure there'll be legitimate things that users want to do and get blocked or the right way to set things up.

Are there trial subscriptions to try on a test watchguard machine?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I have compared XTM25 and 26 to build the table to show the subscription services:
Look at section: Additional Security Subscriptions to know the subscriptions available and click on them for more info.

Subscription depends on what additional services you want firewall to do, eg, URL filtering/IPS/AV/Application control etc.
Whether any service would benefit your network, depends.
Easiest way is to get trial subscription on the current box, enable services and check for yourself.

Most vendors do give trial subscription, WG should too.
For trial subscriptions please get in touch with WG reseller/partner/sales.

Thank you.

Hoping to get more info on

Whether any service would benefit your network, depends.

Who am I to know what I need : )

thanks though!
When I said "Whether any service would benefit your network, depends."
I meant that depending on the service selected and expected SLA the benefits can be defined.

Say for example you want to do URL filtering, now HTTPS sites cannot be blocked with 100% surety with any vendor device as the traffic is encrypted, if your SLA says any URI using HTTP or HTTPS MUST be blocked, then this SLA would not be met.
Similarly, when you want to block applications, implement Gateway AV, or similar service, there would be boundaries within which any given box/implementation would work.
If SLA are aggressive and security is the prime concern, just implementing security at the gateway level would be insufficient.
Bluntly, single ALL-in-One device from any vendor cannot provide all the security needs.

Hope this clarifies.

Thank you.

thanks.   Don't mean to shoot the messenger : )  I was meaning that I would kinda hope / want the boxes / software to be preconfigured / easily able to lock down systems 'good'.  I guess realistically, every place is different. But something like cryptowall - I'd want to protect from that with a click / have it already included - who doesn't want to be protected from that !?
