"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Once the server is joined to domain. Server polls the DC to get the policies from the DC.

Any client Member Server or workstation will poll the DC for updates every 90 minutes which is staggered to reduce latency between 0- 30 minutes.

This goes for both Computer and User policies.

When a machine is added to the domain initally it will request the policies immediately. Same goes for computer reboots and user logins. A side from that it is polled every 90 minutes staggered. See the below link for additonal info.
