For updating the server's BIOS, you need to download the appropriate file from this section:<br />
<br />
BIOS (Entitlement Required) - System ROM (3)<br />
<br />
Then I would do all the appropriate firmware that is available.<br />

I have a proliant dl380 g7 which had server 2008 R2 installed on it before &nbsp;it crashed due to bad HDD and I lost everything on the server.<br />
<br />
Now the the machine has been repaired, I have decided to install server 2012 R2 on the machine, but I learnt that I have to upgrade the firmware on the machine before I can install the server 2012 R2. <br />
<br />
Can anyone give me the link to download the required firmware for this task as I have checked HP website and I don't know which one download.<br />

Windows Server 2012 is the server version of Windows 8 and the successor to Windows Server 2008 R2. Windows Server 2012 is the first version of Windows Server to have no support for Itanium-based computers since Windows NT 4.0. Windows Server 2012, now in its second release (Windows Server 2012 Release 2) includes Foundation, Essentials, Standard and Datacenter, and does not support IA-32 or IA-64 processors.
