OFF-SITE BACKUP STORAGE DISASTER RECOVERY OPTIONS

Our current local backup solution has a DR option we could purchase that would provide cloud storage and if a disaster occurred they would off-load to a portable device and ship via next day air to provide full recovery.   The price tag is $600 per year for 500 GB.

The school has unlimited Google Drive space and we understand AWS provides inexpensive cloud storage for education.   The idea of having someone being able to physically ship a recovery device overnight seems like a more practical solution rather than expecting to download to the recovery site that might not have an ISP connection during the DR.   Another suggestion would be to contract with some local technology outsource within 30-minute drive with the idea of having them download the Google source to a portable device then we could drive it back to our onsite.

Is this DR plan unique?   Any EE's who can provide references to cloud DR vendors doing similar?
