view and convert pagemaker (.pmd) file

I'm looking for free or inexpensive software that will view and convert (or import/export) a Pagemaker (.pmd) file to .pdf or another format.  Some that I've found in searching convert other .pmd files, not Pagemaker.  I don't have Pagemaker any longer and don't want to purchase InDesign.  I saw a similar question here from 2008, but the links that were suggested as a solution no longer exist.  Is there any such program?  Thanks.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Which version of Pagemaker were you using?  Frustratingly some of the newer versions need to be saved within PM to an earlier version before the free tools can be used.  Is it a "one off" job with a single file you need to get done?

It was Pagemaker 7.

Nobus - I am using MS Word 13, and the instructions at the link you posted doesn't work for that version, and I don't see any other option in Word 13 that is similar.  It also doesn't work using "open with".

Adobe still have a 30 day trial version of PM7 available

If you've just got one file to convert and have a PDF "printer" utility this may get the job done.

Thanks. I don't need PM7 and don't want to install it.  I can't print a PMD file to the PDF printer, because I can't open it.  Just looking for something free or cheap that will open it so I can do that.
