I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. This doesn't look like the saving location of the sage files as they are located on another drive?

The files are also recreated each day with an updated date in the file location
Bruce DenneySage 50 Consultant and IntegratorCommented:
First we need to know which Sage software this is.

As a general rule, the temp folder is for temporary files that can be deleted without causing problems.

However you are wise to check first.

In most Sage 50 products, you can find the location of the Sage Data Directory by looking in Help>About

If you backup your Sage data first you should be fine.

They are running Sage 50 Accounts, Under further investigation if I attempt to view the files within the Company. 121 folder the storage goes down by 30GB removing the files within the TEMP folder.

However they are then repopulated within minutes taking the storage space back down again.

I believe that if I delete these files then the issue will be resolved however they will then be recreated again the next day.

Assuming the is the normal UK/ROW version of Sage 50, not the product used USA or CAN

I think that the files are being created by something other than Sage, perhaps backup software?
Martin AllenAuthor Commented:
The files are exactly the same as Sage 50 company files and install files, are we assuming these are files that are being used in a backup then and that is why they fluctuate from taking MB's of space to 30GB of space on the drive?
Martin AllenAuthor Commented:
This issue has been resolved by putting compression on the destination file.

Hi,

Bit late for this I know but are you using Sage Accounts v21 or v22?  If so these files are created by Sage as part of the new automated backup functionality.  It will copy the data files to C:\Windows\Temp in order to do the automated check data and backup whilst other users are logged in.

I am until recently ex Sage tech support and would get this call from time to time.
